RobertPl
Lately, I've been working at a computer standing up. I am looking for a work surface that can accommodate a monitor and is height-adjustable. I would like to ask Joe Jet for advice. Has anyone seen something like this on sale?
Editors JOE JET Posted July 24 Editors Share Posted July 24 Hi Robert. Not so long ago I was also working on a similar project. In fact, it all depends on what kind of budget you have. I bought the countertop here: https://hardwood-lumber.com/countertops/ but unfortunately you have to wait about 2 months to get the product. If you live in the US then HomeDepot is also a good option: https://rb.gy/45tne If you live in Europe, of course, it's best to look for it online, then you can buy a butcherblock in the exact size you need. The budget option is to buy a 3/4 plywood and glue the 2 together and paint them with stain and varnish. The result can be surprisingly good. If you are interested I can post some pictures here. RobertPl
I recently stumbled upon a variant of this https://www.progressivedesk.com/collections/standing-desks, which seems like a great option. However, it's a bit out of my budget range. I'm wondering if there's a more affordable standing desk with mechanical adjustment features . Working while standing has been truly inspiring, and I've noticed a significant reduction in fatigue. If anyone has suggestions, I'd love to hear them!
